The club recently hosted a very successful four day trip to the Bathurst Spring Spectacular. On the Saturday there was a locally guided tour of ten very different Bathurst gardens ranging from large rural to small town gardens.

Each garden had a different character and was well worth visiting.

The following day there was a visit to the spectacular 160 acre Mayfield garden at Oberon. Although this ambitious and impressive garden was established in 1998 it is still a work in progress.

It is open to the public for only five weekends a year but will soon open the 36 acre Water garden to the public seven days a week.

By special arrangement the group was able to visit “Gairloch Garden” also at Oberon. It was voted the best because of its relaxed atmosphere, imagination and inventiveness.
